We asked Ken to come and give us a quote for a complete new oil heating system including all new radiators throughout our house, removing our existing solid fuel heating system. Ken visited our house and went through the options with us, his knowledge and expertise came across throughout. We did have two other quotes for the work and ken came back as the best deal for us. We would recommend Ken for future work and will be using him for all our future plumbing needs. Ken was contracted to second fix our new build and what an excellent service he provided. Timely and dedicated Ken worked with ourselves to produce a top finish installation. Having not used Ken Routledge previously there is always doubt about what sort of job will be done, rest assured from the onset of meeting Ken he came across as a true professional clean tidy and most defiantly knows his trade. The quote came back prompt, not the cheapest but we believe you pay for what you get quality wise and our beliefs where right. Even when our existing boiler broke down before ken was due to start ken answered our emails and phone calls promptly and got us up and running for a short period most grateful.

We had Ken install a new boiler and tado system earlier this year. Ken has recently fitted a high efficiency gas fire in our lounge, not an easy job in a small opening with a pre cast flue. To say we are delighted is an understatement. Previously, he has supplied and fitted a gas boiler, installed a new kitchen sink and taps and regularly services our gas appliances. He is our ‘Number 1’ choice in such matters.

Having a ‘not very common’ wet electric heating and hot water system, we have been disappointed by plumbers over the years who maybe have not wanted to invest the time to learn the system in order to help us. We felt as if it were our fault for having something a bit different and, perhaps, that it was not a plumber we needed, moreover an electrician. What a revelation it was to find Ken! At the risk of making him so popular that he won’t have time to visit us next time we need him, we have only excellent feedback to give.

Also, he serviced our very ancient gas fire (and sprayed back to black on the surround), fitted new radiators (and sink taps) all at the last minute and not part of the original plan.

I had a new conservatory fitted recently and although it was triple glazed for maximum heat efficiency I was very worried that in the winter months it would become one of those cold unusable rooms. Many people told me it would be fine and that I should go with electric underfloor heating for ease of install, or just tap off an existing radiator, but Ken was the only one who really delved deep into the details – working out the required heating input that I needed, and the fact that it really had to be a wet system and with a dedicated temperature zone controller to maintain a comfy 22deg when it was freezing outside. He also checked if my existing boiler had enough capacity so I knew upfront all the costs involved.

It was quite a disruptive install routing the pipework from the distant boiler, but Ken was very careful with every stage and after the job was finished everything was back neatly in it’s place as if it had never been disturbed.

Now that I have had a full winter with the conservatory, I have to say Ken really knows his business and the room has just been at the perfect temperature every day.
